May 19, 2004Tax Cuts for you and meForm the Washington Post Editorial Page - "THE HOUSE of Representatives plans to take up a bill this week that would provide new tax breaks to families earning as much as $309,000... For families earning less than $10,750, however, the House bill would do nothing. Thus, a family with a parent working full-time at the minimum wage ($10,300) would get no benefit from the bill. A better-off but still low-income family with two children would get a one-time $300 average tax break ($150 per child). By contrast, two-child families with earnings between $150,000 and $250,000 get $22,000 in extra tax breaks over the next 10 years ($1,000 per child per year). This is bad social policy, bad tax policy, and bad fiscal policy. You'd think they'd be embarrassed, but they're not. " May 13, 2004this is a little interestingFrom Reuters - "The father of Nick Berg, the American beheaded in Iraq, directly blamed President Bush and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Thursday for his son's death.... Berg attacked the Bush administration for its invasion of Iraq and its sponsorship of the Patriot Act, which gives sweeping powers of surveillance to the federal government.... CBS reported on Thursday that Berg was questioned by FBI agents who discovered he had been interviewed before because a computer password he used in college had turned up in the possession of accused Sept. 11 conspirator Zaccarias Moussaoui...." My Question is how did the FBI knew what Berg Collage Passwords were? A ramdom search of passwords used by collages maybe...Something to think about. Maybe you should change yours if is something like "IHateBush'...to something like "ILoveBush" The Patriot Act is coming to a computer near you... Tangled PathFrom the WSJ - A Tangled Path to Sovereignty The U.S. has frequently revised its plans for giving power back to Iraqis. • April 2003: With the invasion over, Coalition Provisional Authority assumes responsibility for the day-to-day administration of Iraq. May 12, 2004the WSJ on the Iraq WarThe one sentence on the Wall Street Journal Editorial Page I agree with.. "In the face of these challenges and atrocities, Americans don't want to hear about "staying the course." They want to hear our commander-in-chief tell us how we are going to win." May 11, 2004May 06, 2004RushRush Limbaugh from yesterday ... This is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation and we're going to ruin people's lives over it and we're going to hamper our military effort, and then we are going to really hammer them because they had a good time. You know, these people are being fired at every day. I'm talking about people having a good time, these people, you ever heard of emotional release? You of heard of need to blow some steam off?
At least someone else noticed... if you don't know what this is about look here - |
